Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting young children's development as a part-time physical therapist with a school-based early intervention team. This contract opportunity involves working with children ages 3-4, delivering much-needed services as part of an experienced and supportive educational environment. You'll collaborate onsite with a multidisciplinary group, helping children enhance their physical function and reach developmental milestones crucial for their academic and daily success.
Qualifications:
Hold an active Louisiana PT license Experience in a school or pediatric setting, specifically with early childhood populations, is preferred Familiarity with assessment tools and intervention strategies for young children Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and documentation skills Team-focused approach for collaborating with educators and fellow specialists What you'll be doing: Assessing and developing treatment plans for a small caseload of 3-4 year-olds Implementing individualized therapy sessions focused on gross motor skill development Collaborating closely with educators, parents, and an early intervention team Tracking progress, maintaining thorough records, and adjusting interventions as needed Participating in IEP meetings and goal planning (as appropriate) Offering guidance and recommendations for classroom accommodations This contract runs from early August 2026 through late May 2027, with a flexible part-time schedule likely less than four days per week.
