Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - PT Job Type Contract This part-time Physical Therapy contract offers a unique opportunity to work within a school setting supporting PreK to 12th-grade students across multiple campuses. The position covers the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 10, 2026, and ending May 20, 2027. Working two days per month, you will provide essential evaluation services without delivering direct therapy, making this an ideal role for a skilled physical therapist seeking part-time work with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting Louisiana Bulletin 1508 physical therapy evaluations for students from PreK through 12th grade Completing initial assessments and re-evaluations to determine students' therapy needs Coordinating across six school campuses located in three different towns, with travel times ranging from 15 to 30 minutes between sites Collaborating with school staff and healthcare teams to support student well-being through comprehensive evaluation data Desired qualifications and experience: Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in skilled therapy and school-based physical therapy settings Knowledge of Louisiana Bulletin 1508 PT evaluation standards and protocols Ability to manage travel efficiently between multiple school locations within a geographic area Strong communication skills for documentation and interaction with educational professionals
