Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact this summer by providing physical therapy services to students in an educational environment. We're seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist with experience in school-based settings for an Extended School Year program running from July 6th to August 6th. This contract position offers the opportunity to work 2 to 3 days per week (Monday through Thursday), with a flexible schedule of 3 hours each day. You'll be working with a diverse group of students ranging from ages 4 to 22, helping them achieve their physical developmental goals and ensuring accessibility to learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Massachusetts Previous experience working with children and young adults in a school or educational setting Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, aides, and families Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide range of physical and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to determine physical therapy needs within the educational setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Deliver direct therapy services within the school environment Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services provided and student progress Participate in team meetings to coordinate care and contribute to student success
