Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Physical Therapist supporting students during the Extended School Year program. This summer opportunity runs from July 6, 2025, to August 7, 2025, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule of 6 hours per day, totaling 30 hours per week. Work closely with a diverse K-12 student population and collaborate within an educational setting that values inclusive and supportive care.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Prior experience working in a school-based environment (K-12) is highly desirable Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reporting Safe Care Certification is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs during the ESY program Assess, document, and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to help students achieve their mobility and functional goals Contribute to team meetings and provide recommendations for accessible learning environments Promote a safe and positive therapy experience for every student
