Job Description:
This position comes with a $10,000 sign on bonus for new hires outside of the BILH network.

The Physical Therapist evaluates patient's mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete and thorough evaluations of patients' chief complaints, physical impairments, activities of daily living, and functional limitationsDevelop comprehensive plans of care with appropriate, measurable, and functional goalsPlan and implement appropriate treatment activities to improve identified physical impairments and functional limitationsProvide ongoing reassessment and modification of treatment plans in response to patients' progressOffer appropriate discharge planning and patient/family teaching, including home programs and recommendations for self-careComplete timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress notesCollaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient careDemonstrate effective time management and meet department productivity standardsMaintain current knowledge of insurance requirements and regulationsParticipate in professional development activities and mentorship programsQualificationsRequiredGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramCurrent Massachusetts Physical Therapy licenseCurrent BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary teamPreferredExperience in acute physical therapy settingsAdditional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniquesEducation and ExperienceGraduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramRelevant clinical experience in acute care settings preferredLicenses and CertificationsCurrent Massachusetts Physical Therapy licenseCurrent BCLS certificationSkillsExcellent assessment and diagnostic skillsStrong treatment planning and implementation abilitiesEffective communication and patient education skillsProficiency in documentation and electronic health recordsAbility to adapt treatment approaches to individual patient needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move for extended periodsCapability to assist patients with mobility and transfersManual dexterity for hands-on patient careWork EnvironmentAcute care setting within Beverly HospitalPotential exposure to typical hospital environmentsScheduleFull-time positionMay include some evening hours to accommodate patient needs
Pay Range:
$38.50 - $53.91The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
