Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth and well-being as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in a dynamic school-based Extended School Year (ESY) program. Located near Framingham, MA, this contract opportunity offers exceptional flexibility and the rewarding chance to make a real impact within the educational setting. As part of the ESY services team, you will provide direct physical therapy to students, ensuring they meet their mobility, functional, and developmental goals throughout the summer session. This position offers approximately 8 hours each week, with scheduling tailored to fit your availability—perfect for professionals seeking a supplemental role or looking for flexible summer work.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Experience providing PT services in schools or pediatric/healthcare settings Familiarity with IEPs and collaborative practices within a multidisciplinary team Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students in accordance with their IEPs or individualized programs Assess, document, and report on student progress, recommending interventions and modifications as needed Coordinate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to support student success within the school environment Maintain compliance with all regulatory and documentation standards
