Job Description
Positive Regard Network LLC Physical Therapist - PT or FT Available Holyoke, MA Apply Physical Therapist PT or FT Center School, part of the Positive Regard Network, invites applicants for the position of Registered Physical Therapist. Position is full time or part time, 52 weeks per year. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package including four weeks of vacation time. Center School is a full-year private day school serving students ages 5-22 with a variety of special needs, with programs in both Holyoke and Chicopee, MA. The Physical Therapist will provide physical therapy services to students as outlined in the student\'s IEP, both through individual and group services as well as mentoring and training staff in supporting PT services for the student in daily classroom work. The PT works in conjunction with the SLP, BCBA, OT, and Special Education Teachers and Interventionists to assist students in all aspects of their schooling and development. This position requires licensure by the Division of Professional Licensure as a Registered Physical Therapist; with a Doctoral or Master\'s in Physical Therapy. There is a preference for a candidate who also maintains Connecticut licensure, as we also have programming in Enfield, CT.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides supervision, mentoring and training for all staff delivering physical therapy services in the school. Collaborates with Teachers and other allied health staff to provide comprehensive and appropriate services to students. Creates, supports and implements by action ADL, transitional and travel skill protocols for students. Writes IEPs in conjunction with Teachers. Develops, implements and manages physical therapy curriculum and assessment materials. Administers physical therapy assessments to students, including the school\'s swimming pool as a therapeutic environment, and prepares correspondence reports, as needed. Prepares updates and reports for presentation at district team meetings and attends team meetings as requested. Plans and provides training for school staff as needed or requested. Adheres to professional licensure standards while upholding the school model of treatment. Supervises college interns as assigned. Maintains professional licensure and participates in conferences, workshops or other courses for professional development. Job Requirements Doctorate degree preferred.
