Physical Therapist - School Setting in Somerville, MA Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Somerville, MA Job Details Part-time | Contract $32 - $61 an hour 7 days ago Benefits Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Physical Therapy License Full Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Exciting part-time contract opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist to support K-12 students in an engaging school environment near Somerville, MA. Qualifications & Experience:
Current and valid Massachusetts Physical Therapist (MA PT) License required Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches across various age groups (K-12) Passion for supporting students' individualized needs and physical growth Comfortable working collaboratively with educators and student support teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct PT services to K-12 students as determined by Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess students' motor skills, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress Maintain accurate records and document interventions according to school and state standards Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote students' participation in school activities Offer guidance and resources to staff and families to foster inclusive environments Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluation
