Take on a rewarding summer contract opportunity in Wilbraham, MA, supporting students as a Physical Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position offers a focused 14-hour work week, allowing you to make a difference for students who benefit from your specialized expertise while maintaining valuable work-life balance throughout the summer months.
Key Qualifications:
Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license is required Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred Expert communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs Flexible and adaptive approach to working with teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students enrolled in the ESY program Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to determine students' therapeutic needs and progress Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to develop and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Foster a supportive and positive environment to encourage student engagement and independence Participate in team meetings and communicate progress and recommendations as needed This contract position comes with one opening and an immediate start for the summer session.
