This role focuses on supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Baltimore, MD, helping them achieve their physical goals during their summer programming.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for the state of Maryland Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the goal-setting process Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptable, patient, and motivated to support diverse learning and physical needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP objectives for the extended school year Assess, plan, and implement interventions that promote student mobility, access, and participation in school activities Document student progress and therapy sessions accurately, maintaining compliance with educational and professional standards Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies for classroom success Educate and train school staff and families on exercises and adaptive techniques to reinforce therapy goals This summer position is an excellent fit if you thrive on helping students reach their potential in a school environment.
