Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Imagine making a difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity as a physical therapist offers the chance to work onsite within a school-based setting for an 11-month assignment. You'll be an integral part of helping students achieve their highest level of physical function, all while collaborating with dedicated educators and staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license for the state Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a dynamic school environment Genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to identify physical therapy needs impacting their educational performance Develop and implement appropriate, individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure coordinated care Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all evaluations, treatments, and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for student goals Deliver direct therapy and consultative services as mandated by students' educational plans Educate school staff on safe handling, mobility support, and accommodations in the classroom Perks of the
