Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer providing physical therapy services to students in an engaging, school-based environment just outside Columbia, MD. This uniquely structured summer program operates exclusively Monday through Thursday, allowing you to enjoy long weekends throughout your assignment. Both the Extended School Year (ESY) and Infants & Toddlers Services roles offer set hours, a collaborative team atmosphere, and the chance to truly make a difference during these crucial developmental months.
Current opportunities include:
ESY Physical Therapist:
In-person, 5-week commitment from June 29th to July 30th, with a required professional development day on June 25th. Work Monday-Thursday, either 9:30 am - 3:30 pm at special education sites or 8:00 am - 2:00 pm in general education schools, for up to 24 hours per week.
Infants and Toddlers Services and Assessments:
Serving young children from June 22nd to July 30th. Enjoy a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) providing therapy and assessments, with up to 28 hours per week.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Adaptable, compassionate, and detail-oriented
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group therapy sessions Conduct assessments to support student learning and mobility Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists Maintain accurate documentation and follow IEP or IFSP guidelines Enjoy a summer schedule that maximizes your impact and grants ample time for professional growth and personal flexibility.
