Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' development and well-being in an educational setting near Denton, MD. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through an 11-month assignment in a supportive school environment. Bring your expertise as a Physical Therapist and help students reach their potential by addressing their unique physical challenges. You'll collaborate with educators and families, creating tailored interventions and positive outcomes for children from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials to practice in the state Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Ability to manage and prioritize a full caseload of students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education and therapy plans
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to determine students' physical needs and eligibility for PT services Develop and execute therapeutic strategies to support students' IEP goals Document progress and treatments in compliance with school/district protocols Consult regularly with teaching staff and families to promote functional student participation in academic activities Offer guidance for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed Stay current on best practices in pediatric physical therapy This is your chance to work closely with passionate educators and make a direct impact in the lives of students.
