Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position supporting students' growth and mobility in an educational setting. This contract opportunity involves providing physical therapy services within schools, engaging with approximately 30 student contacts per week, and fulfilling a 35-hour weekly schedule. Flexibility is available for those seeking part-time roles—if you have experience and are interested in a reduced schedule, there are options to accommodate your needs.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy (PT) licensure in the state Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based physical therapy Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, families, and school staff Comfort with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams Organizational skills to manage documentation, treatment plans, and schedules efficiently Collaborative spirit—ready to work alongside other educational and therapeutic professionals Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' motor skills, functional abilities, and needs within a school setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals Deliver direct and consultative PT services across a variety of school environments Monitor and document progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary Provide guidance and training to school staff and families to support student access and participation Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student/student team planning when needed Manage a caseload of approximately 30 student contacts per week
