Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools near Elkton, MD. This role offers the chance to utilize your physical therapy expertise to make a meaningful impact on a diverse caseload, ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The assignment begins August 19, 2026, and continues through June 15, 2027, with consistent weekday hours from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM and a weekly commitment of 35 hours. In this position, you'll work across 10 schools, balancing both direct (10 students) and consultative (10 students) caseloads. You will also have a unique leadership opportunity through supervision of a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The ideal candidate combines strong clinical skills with adaptability and superior communication to engage a range of stakeholders, including students, parents, educators, and support staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Maryland (or ability to obtain by start date) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Familiarity with individualized education program (IEP) processes and documentation Ability to supervise and collaborate with support staff, including PTAs Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage duties across multiple sites Effective communicator with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
