Job Summary Chesapeake Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, A Division of Centers for Advanced Orthopedics, is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to become a member of our thriving team. Join our team and elevate your clinical practice! We are seeking a dedicated Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide exceptional care in our thriving Ortho Clinic. General Summary of Position:
- Screens, examines and evaluates patients.
- Develops and implements appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with patient/caregiver.
- Fabrication of custom splinting.
- Record and document patient care services.
- Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well rounded care.
- Qualified candidates will have:
- A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program
- Experience in treating upper extremity injuries
- Experience in splinting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- surgical observation time
Requirements/Education/Experience:
- A degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program.
- MD State licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist.
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records.
- Experience and proficiency fabricating, adjusting, and fitting upper extremity orthoses.
