Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist supporting students through specialized programs this summer. Work with children and young learners in a dynamic environment, using your clinical expertise to make a meaningful impact. These contract roles require on-site attendance and offer well-structured summer schedules, Mondays through Thursdays only.
Two distinct opportunities are available:
Extended School Year (ESY)
Program:
June 29th-July 30th, with professional development on June 25th. ESY is a 5-week, in-person program at designated locations. Hours are 9:30 am-3:30 pm for Special Education and 8:00 am-2:00 pm for General Education.
Infants and Toddlers Services & Assessments:
June 22nd-July 30th, with a focus on assessment and intervention for younger children.
Key Qualifications:
Active Maryland Physical Therapy License (MD Professional Licensure) Ability to provide documentation of licensure Experience in pediatric, school-based, or early intervention physical therapy strongly preferred Must complete House Bill 486 - District background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review Flexible and collaborative approach for working within multi-disciplinary teams Prescreen interviews may be conducted to ensure suitability
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services as part of ESY or infants/toddlers programs Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy goals Communicate progress and collaborate with educators and families Maintain accurate documentation according to program requirements Work across assigned school sites (locations to be determined)
