  • PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity providing school-based physical therapy services during the summer session near Glen Burnie, MD.
Multiple positions are available to support students in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and infants/toddlers early intervention. Summer assignments are limited to Monday through Thursday, allowing you to enjoy three-day weekends.
Available assignments include:
Extended School Year (ESY)
Physical Therapy:
In-person role from June 29
  • July 30 (5 weeks), with professional development scheduled for June 25. Serve either a Special Education or general education school site, with daily schedules of 9:30 AM
  • 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM, respectively.
Work up to 24 hours per week across four days.
Infants and Toddlers Services/Assessments:
Provide PT services and assessments from June 22
  • July 30, focusing on early intervention populations.
Schedules allow a maximum of 28 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs Flexibility and reliability in providing quality therapy services Commitment to working onsite during the designated program dates What you'll do: Deliver individualized and group therapy services according to students' IEPs or program plans Conduct motor and developmental assessments for infants and toddlers as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service logs Participate in scheduled professional development Experience a rewarding summer with a flexible Monday-Thursday schedule, meaningful student interactions, and the chance to work alongside dedicated professionals.
