Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' growth and development as a dedicated Physical Therapist for an extended school year program. This rewarding contract opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise in a dynamic educational setting, supporting students throughout the summer months.
Required Skills and Background:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience providing PT services in school environments Strong understanding of pediatric therapy practices and IEP processes Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Solid organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and scheduling Commitment to facilitating student engagement and independence in academic and daily activities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted PT interventions to students with diverse needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess students' motor skills, mobility, and adaptive needs in collaboration with classroom staff Develop and implement creative, goal-oriented treatment strategies tailored to individual abilities Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and updates on progress Document services, maintain student records, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Educate staff and families on strategies to support motor development and physical function Adjust therapeutic approaches as needed to accommodate each child's evolving needs
