Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Ignite your passion for pediatric physical therapy by supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Laurel, MD. This contract opportunity empowers you to help children reach their fullest potential by providing therapy services in a collaborative school environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active, valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Master's or Doctorate preferred) Prior experience in a pediatric or school-based setting is strongly desired Solid understanding of IEPs and experience working as part of a multidisciplinary education team Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to motivate and connect with students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, in accordance with their IEP goals and state regulations Collaborate proactively with educators, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment Assess students' physical abilities and develop individualized intervention plans Monitor ongoing progress, modify interventions as needed, and maintain comprehensive session notes Attend IEP meetings and provide expert input on mobility, gross motor skills, and access to school programs Offer staff consultations and training on adaptive strategies and classroom modifications to maximize student independence
