Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support student success through expert physical therapy services in an educational setting. This full-time contract position offers a chance to make a significant impact with dedicated caseloads for both early intervention (11-month assignment) and K-12 students. The assignment runs from August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027. Ideal candidates bring proven experience providing school-based physical therapy, along with a commitment to fostering growth, mobility, and independence for students. You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
Active Maryland PT license required Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload (Early Intervention and K-12) Strong communication/collaboration skills with school teams and families Commitment to evidence-based practices and compliance with school protocolsKey Responsibilities:
Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring physical therapy services Deliver direct and consultative therapy within classrooms and school environments Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff to integrate therapy into educational programs Document services and student progress according to district and state requirements Participate inIEP/IFSP
