Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a school-based physical therapy position where your expertise makes a direct impact on students' lives. This contract opportunity offers 30 contacts per week, with 35 billable hours, and is conveniently located in the Port Deposit, MD area. Flexible options are available—if you're interested in part-time, we're willing to discuss splitting the assignment.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Active Physical Therapist license, or eligibility, for practicing in Maryland Prior experience providing school-based physical therapy Strong communication and collaboration abilities with educational staff, students, and families Assessment and intervention planning expertise tailored to diverse school-age populations Ability to document therapy sessions efficiently and in compliance with school standards Organized in managing schedules, caseloads, and adapting to changing prioritiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students with varying needs within the school setting Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and set individualized goals in coordination with the educational team Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and parents to support student participation and access to educational activities Maintain accurate and confidential records, reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Support student transitions and consult on accessibility and classroom modifications when necessary Enjoy a role that prioritizes professional satisfaction and schedule flexibility.
