Rate:
Travel $1,995/35 hrs; Local $1,967/35 hrs We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in Skowhegan. The ideal clinician will perform thorough evaluations, create and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective recovery and return to function. Requirements Current, active Physical Therapy state license CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED) Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical evaluations, review medical history, and identify patient needs in coordination with the care team Establish measurable rehabilitation goals and design individualized treatment plans Implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination Deliver hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support pain control and tissue healing Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train safe use Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention Develop and adjust pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy Facilitate post-operative, post-injury, and illness recovery aimed at restoring independence and quality of life Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; revise treatment plans based on outcomes Provide clear, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care Maintain ethical and legal standards, protect patient confidentiality, and obtain informed consent Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse patient needs Perform other duties as assigned by management If you are a motivated PT committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, we encourage you to apply.
