Qualifications & Experience Desired:

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or educational setting Solid grasp of IEP processes and documentation requirements Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions

Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs within the educational environment Develop, implement, and update individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals Provide direct therapy sessions—both individual and group—to help students increase mobility, strength, and independence Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support student progress and participation Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed Consult with school staff on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications for student success
