School-Based Physical Therapy Position Competitive pay (up to $60/hr) Flexible scheduling within school hours Starting August 2026 About the Role Hello, Physical Therapists! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based setting in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you'll support students in accessing their educational environment by addressing mobility, positioning, and functional movement needs. You'll collaborate closely with school teams to help students participate safely and successfully in the classroom and school community. Why Join Us Competitive hourly pay (Up to $60/hour) W-2 employment with liability insurance included Reimbursement for licensure and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites (if applicable) Supportive and collaborative school-based team environment What You'll Do Provide school-based physical therapy evaluations, treatment, and consultation Support students with mobility, positioning, and access to school environments Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with student needs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers Participate in IEP meetings as needed Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning supports, and environmental modifications Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records What We're Looking For Active Michigan Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain) Strong collaboration and communication skills School-based experience preferred, but not required Ability to work independently About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
