Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Embrace the serene beauty of northern Michigan in this travel position based in Hale, MI—a destination renowned for its peaceful environment, abundant outdoor adventure, and welcoming communities. This assignment provides the chance to broaden your professional experience by working among a diverse patient population while engaging with skilled teams that employ varying therapy methodologies and leadership philosophies. Expand your practice in both outpatient settings and acute care, all while exploring the region's lakes, trails, and charming local culture during your downtime.
Schedule/Hours:
Primarily outpatient with acute care coverage as needed This role is ideal for professionals eager to take the next step in their career, exercise leadership as a mentor to therapy support staff, and gain expertise in patient-centered care according to the highest standards.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), eligible for practice in Michigan Clinical background in outpatient and/or acute care settings preferred Effective delegation and supervision skills for PT Assistants, Aides, and students Demonstrated aptitude in assessment, care planning, intervention, and documentation Strong communication and teaching abilities for patient/family education
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine patients' physical status across systems (skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular) Create and update individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans aligned with physician directives Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment approaches and home programs Recommend and help secure adaptive equipment as appropriate Maintain thorough and compliant documentation for patient records and billing Uphold all safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams; contribute to process improvement and program development Provide instruction, mentorship, and support to ancillary staff and students
