Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and vibrant community of Tawas City, MI, nestled along the shores of Lake Huron—a destination recognized for its welcoming spirit, lakeside charm, and endless outdoor activities. As a traveling Physical Therapist in this region, you'll experience unique professional growth, expand your therapeutic repertoire through exposure to a diverse patient mix, and collaborate with compassionate, forward-thinking clinicians. This is your chance to build your resume with a mix of outpatient and acute care experience, while also enjoying adventures on scenic trails, pristine beaches, and within local cultural hubs during your off-hours. This primarily outpatient position, with some acute care responsibilities, offers the ability to delegate to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides, practicing both leadership and mentorship. In this dynamic setting, you'll utilize assessment, planning, and intervention skills, aligned with the highest clinical and ethical standards.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time travel contract with variable daytime shifts.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Valid state PT licensure (or eligibility) Experience in outpatient therapy, acute care, and patient evaluation preferred Strong interpersonal and effective verbal/written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Familiarity with regulatory standards, documentation, and Microsoft Windows Commitment to professional values: excellence, integrity, teamwork, and accountability
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patient function and create goal-centered treatment plans Develop, update, and coordinate care plans in collaboration with physicians and support staff Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, options, and home programs Document all care and response per clinical standards Supervise and mentor PTAs, aides, and students Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, process improvement initiatives, and community education Maintain confidentiality and safety standards in all interactions
