Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite Physical Therapist (PT) within a reputable school district near Andover, MN. This position is designated for the 2026-2027 school year, specifically providing maternity leave coverage. The assignment begins approximately on September 2, 2026, and extends through December 21, 2027, offering a stable and meaningful role during this timeframe.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Active and current Minnesota PT license (required for presentation, please submit with your resume) Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred Confidence and adaptability in covering maternity leaves and adjusting to evolving caseloads Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering student growth and supporting educational teams Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to students as assigned within the district, supporting their educational access and functional mobility Assess and develop individualized plans in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings and regularly communicate progress and recommendations Collaborate with school staff and families to maximize student participation Contribute to a positive and engaging school environment This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference for students while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative, education-focused setting.
