Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students onsite throughout the 2026/2027 school year. In this contract position, you will help provide crucial maternity leave coverage, working closely with students, faculty, and families to foster student growth and well-being. This engaging assignment matches you with a respected school district, allowing you to make a significant difference while gaining valuable experience in a vibrant educational community. Your background in pediatric or school-based physical therapy will guide you as you deliver high-quality, student-centered care. You'll collaborate with educators, contribute to IEP development, and support students' functional mobility to encourage their success within the school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Minnesota Physical Therapist (PT) license required; must be submitted along with your resume for consideration Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Ability to adapt to a pending caseload and provide high-quality coverage during a maternity leave Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Confidence in working independently and as part of an educational team Willingness to commit onsite Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy and supportive interventions to students as outlined in their IEPs Engage in data collection and progress monitoring to document student outcomes Partner with teachers, staff, and families to promote motor skills development and classroom participation Adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs within your caseload Maintain thorough documentation and uphold compliance with all district and state regulations This is your chance to play a vital role in a school community, supporting students' progress and collaborating with passionate professionals.
