Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Physical Therapist supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year. This assignment provides the unique chance to support a school community while covering a maternity leave. You'll collaborate with educational staff to promote student mobility, engagement, and success. You will work onsite, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, beginning approximately September 2, 2026, and continuing until around December 21, 2027. Flexibility and a commitment to fostering student growth are key. The specific caseload will be determined closer to the start date.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and valid Minnesota Physical Therapy license (required; must submit with resume) Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Willingness to adapt to a cover-leave assignment and support dynamic caseload needs Open to working on-site and engaging with a diverse school population
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group PT services as outlined in student IEPs Participate in evaluations, assessments, and goal setting for students' motor development Work closely with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure optimal student outcomes Maintain organized documentation and meet compliance standards Provide outreach, consultation, and support for staff and families as necessary Adjust to short-term coverage needs while maintaining continuity of care Here's your chance to make a difference in students' lives as you provide essential PT services during a key period.
