Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Physical Therapist supporting students during an upcoming maternity leave. This full-time role, spanning from early September 2026 through early February 2027, offers the chance to make a significant difference within a school-based setting. You'll impact students' growth and mobility while working alongside a collaborative team of education professionals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Minnesota Physical Therapist (PT) license (required for consideration; please attach with your application) Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes, pediatric PT practices, and developmentally appropriate interventions Comfortable adapting to a pending caseload and flexible in approach Willingness and capability to confidently cover a maternity leave assignment Strong communication and documentation skillsPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy assessments and individualized interventions according to students' needs and IEP goals Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapy providers to support learning and participation Document clinical services and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and help shape student-centered strategies Adjust therapy approaches as caseload and student needs evolve This is a Monday through Friday position with consistent hours (37.5 per week), making it ideal for professionals seeking stability and ample time to focus on effective student care.
