Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students' physical therapy needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and families Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Consult with teachers and support staff to facilitate student participation and success in school activities Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and progress notes per school and regulatory guidelines Attend IEP and multidisciplinary meetings as required Educate families and staff on strategies to promote student mobility and independence This contract opportunity enables you to work within a supportive school community focused on student growth.
