Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing vital physical therapy services in a school-based environment! This contract opportunity extends from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, and includes Extended School Year (ESY) dates. The position covers three locations near Gower, MO, with a primary caseload currently focused on a single student in the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) room. The student population spans ages 3-18, involving a caseload that is primarily mild to moderate in complexity. As the certified physical therapist, you'll either provide direct services or supervise a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) on-site as needed. This role offers a flexible commitment, requiring just one hour weekly, making it a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise while balancing other professional or personal responsibilities.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Physical Therapist (PT), or eligibility to supervise a PTA Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Comfortable working with mild to moderate caseloads, including early childhood populations Strong communication and organization skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individually tailored physical therapy services for students ages 3-18 Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive impact on student mobility and access to education Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, interventions, and progress notes Supervise and guide a PTA as necessary for effective service delivery Adapt strategies in support of diverse learning needs across three school locations For this role, hourly compensation ranges from $40 to $52, reflecting the value placed on your expertise and dedication.
