Job Description

Find your calling at Mercy! Provide services regarding prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports-related injuries. The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility. The incumbent will perform related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program with a doctorate degree. If applicable, graduate of a Master's of Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program.
Licensure:
State of practice license for Physical Therapy. State of practice licensure for athletic training.
Certification:
Must have one of the following:
  • Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification
  • Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) for
Physical Therapy Additional Certification:
Mercy Health System approved
Professional Rescuer CP Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • Performs patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
  • Adapts to varying work hours and travel required throughout the year.
  • Has knowledge of various equipment such as: Therapeutic Modalities, Thermal and Electric Modalities, Computer, Dictaphone, Cellular Phone, Therapeutic Equipment.
