Position Summary/Description:
This Physical Therapist is a primary staff position in the Sports Medicine section of Campus Health. This is a senior level position with duties including the coordination of rehabilitation care for athletes and students. The Physical Therapist is expected to provide physical therapy services for all students including varsity and non-varsity athletes and to participate actively in the teaching activities of the Sports Medicine section. The Physical Therapist manages patients with musculoskeletal disorders in an outpatient setting. This position may serve as a clinical instructor/preceptor for physical therapy students and PT orthopedic residents. This position may be involved in research with the Sports Medicine unit.
Education and Experience:
One (1) year of full-time post-licensure clinical experience. Completion of a physical therapy residency, ABPTS certification, or plans to complete in near future. Experience in collegiate athletics. Experience or interest in serving as a clinical preceptor. Experience in academic teaching is desired.
Essential Skills:
Physical therapist licensure.
