Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an impact on students' lives by delivering high-quality physical therapy services in a school-centered setting near Dobson, NC. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated physical therapist who is passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential within an academic environment. You'll collaborate with educators and families to support students' mobility and participation in school activities, creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
Desired Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Previous experience working within school or pediatric settings preferred. Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and families. Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment and manage a diverse caseload. Collaborative spirit and commitment to student-centered care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative therapy services based on students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Evaluate and assess students' physical and functional abilities in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams. Develop tailored treatment plans to foster student independence, safety, and participation. Maintain thorough records and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements. Provide support and education to staff and families regarding best practices for student mobility and access. Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning sessions. Adapt therapy instruments and approaches for the school environment.
