School-Based Physical Therapist - Durham, NC ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Durham, NC Job Details Part-time | Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Teacher collaboration Caseload management Working with children Physical Therapy License Physical therapy Full Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in a student's educational journey with this contract opportunity for an experienced Physical Therapist. This role focuses on supporting one 6th grade student at a single school site, providing tailored therapy to ensure their success in the school environment. The assignment runs from August 5, 2026, through May 28, 2027, allowing you to enjoy a school-based schedule with flexibility in your commitments.
Key Requirements:
Valid PT license with eligibility to practice in a school setting Previous experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred Strong background in delivering individualized care and adaptive strategies for middle school students Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers Exceptional organizational skills and confidence managing a small caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess the student's abilities to develop and implement a personalized intervention plan Work directly with the 6th grade student during 1-4 hours per week at the designated school site Document progress and provide timely updates to the educational team Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for student growth and access Adapt sessions as needed to address changing needs or increased hours due to new enrollments Enjoy the opportunity to make a focused, positive impact while maintaining a manageable, part-time schedule.
