Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting student achievement as a contract physical therapist in a rewarding, school-based setting near Fort Bragg, NC. This opportunity offers a blend of summer and full academic year assignments, working with diverse student populations across multiple campuses. You'll collaborate with an experienced PT/PTA team to deliver services to roughly 50 students, and travel between school sites—always with efforts to streamline your route and minimize drive time. All grade levels are represented, so your expertise will help shape development from preschool through high school.
Key Qualifications:
Active physical therapist license School-based PT experience, especially with early intervention (PreK) cases, is preferred Certification in TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) for PreK evaluations is ideal, though not required Must be able to complete required fingerprinting for Pre-K assignments Strong communication skills and adaptability working across multiple campuses Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services per each student's IEP Team with PTAs and fellow therapists to balance caseloads efficiently Perform assessments (including PreK evaluations if qualified) and develop individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with staff and families Travel between assigned campuses; mileage reimbursement is provided Participate in both Extended School Year (ESY) summer program (July 8-30, 2026, 8am-12:30pm M-Th) and full-time academic year (August 13, 2026-May 28, 2027, 8am-3:30pm M-F, 35 hrs/week) This is an exciting contract position offering the flexibility of varied hours during the ESY program and school year, along with the benefit of working closely alongside a collaborative team.
