Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students across a diverse range of schools as a contracted Physical Therapist within a collaborative, student-centered environment. In this position, you'll play a vital part in enabling student success and growth by providing exceptional PT services for the 2026-2027 school year and Extended School Year (ESY) program. You'll be working primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm (35 hours/week) from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with additional opportunities in ESY July 8 - 30, 2026 (hours vary by program). This is an itinerant position that offers variety and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships across school communities. The total caseload, shared with the PT/PTA team, encompasses approximately 50 students across multiple grade levels, from PreK through high school.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Physical Therapist license School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred Experience with early intervention or Pre-K highly desirable; TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) certification a plus, but not required Must be able to provide fingerprint clearance to work with Pre-K students Willingness and ability to travel between schools (all local; mileage reimbursed) Strong communication, flexibility, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized physical therapy services in school settings Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, evaluations, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning Conduct assessments, develop goals, and monitor student progress Support students' functional mobility, access to school environments, and participation in classroom activities Keep thorough and timely documentation Serve as a resource to staff and families on physical development and health Enjoy a supportive environment where your expertise makes a difference each day.
