Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an impact as a licensed Physical Therapist working with students from PreK through 12th grade for the upcoming academic year! This full-time, contract opportunity provides a rewarding environment where you'll help children reach their full potential, collaborating with a supportive educational team. The role is set to run from August 10, 2026, through June 1, 2027, with 37.5 hours per week. While the specific school site will be determined later, you'll have the chance to positively influence students across a range of ages and abilities. What you'll bring: Current, active Physical Therapist license for North Carolina. Experience working in a school-based setting serving child and adolescent populations. Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System). Ability to adapt your approach to fit the unique needs of students from PreK through high school. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and provide therapies and supports for students with diverse physical abilities. Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and promote student success. Document progress and maintain compliance with all required reporting and data collection. Travel between school sites as needed to ensure coverage across assigned caseload. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development. This school-based contract role offers the satisfaction of meaningful work within a dynamic educational setting.
