Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Enhance the educational experience of students by bringing your passion and expertise as a Physical Therapist to an engaging school-based setting near the scenic Pilot Mountain area. This contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, collaborating with committed professionals and utilizing your specialized skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license for practicing in North Carolina Previous experience providing physical therapy in educational environments preferred Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles and individualized education plans (IEPs) Exceptional communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and family members Ability to work independently while also contributing to an interdisciplinary team Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans aligned with students' individual needs and educational goals Deliver direct therapy sessions to students, supporting their physical development and participation in school activities Document progress, maintain records, and communicate results and recommendations to educators and families Contribute to IEP meetings as a knowledgeable resource, providing insight and guidance on student progress Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to implement strategies that promote student independence and success across school settings Engage in professional development and remain informed of best practices in pediatric school-based therapy
