Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing physical therapy services within a supportive educational environment. This contract role near Pinnacle, NC, offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help students reach their highest potential. You'll play an essential role in supporting students' physical development and well-being, while enjoying a dynamic, school-based setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to tailor interventions to a diverse student population Organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' motor skills and functional abilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Provide direct physical therapy interventions in both individual and group formats Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary planning Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student success Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations for student accommodations Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and access Envision yourself empowering students to achieve greater independence and mobility, all while contributing to an inclusive and encouraging school community.
