Job Description

Our care philosophy is guided by the following core principles: Dignity and Respect Information Sharing Participation Collaboration The Director of Hand Therapy is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization's mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes. Essential Responsibilities The Director of Hand Therapy is responsible for the overall management of hand therapy services throughout the network. The Director is responsible for direct patient care duties 80% of their scheduled hours with a focus on hand therapy patients. The Hand Therapy Director is also responsible for the growth and development of hand therapy program with a focus on referrals and maintaining strong relationships with key hand surgeons in the area. Development and implementation of the marketing strategies in conjunction with the 'Marketing Division' and OP Leadership. In conjunction with OP Leadership and OP Clinic Managers, the Director shall also coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage in all clinics providing hand therapy services, also allowing for growth and mentoring, when appropriate. Qualifications Current license as occupational therapist from NH/MA. Minimum B.S. in Occupational Therapy from accredited school. Certified Hand Therapist. Possesses moral and ethical standards complimentary to the delivery of cost effective quality health care. Must present positive image and professionalism commensurate with the position. Minimum of 5 years pertinent clinical experience. Must work a minimum of 32 hours per week Must work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by the Sr. Director of OP Programming, Business Development, and Strategic Planning
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of the job are as follows: Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount. Kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing and seeing.
