Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students' physical well-being in a vibrant educational environment near Elizabeth, NJ! This summer assignment offers the unique opportunity to provide essential physical therapy services within a school setting, prioritizing student development and wellness. This role runs from July 7 to August 10, with workdays Monday through Thursday between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm—no Friday classes, ensuring an optimal work-life balance. With just 8 hours per week, this position is ideal for professionals seeking part-time, impactful work over the summer.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license Experience in school-based or pediatric PT settings highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP and special education processes Ability to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to students' needs Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct assessments to identify students' physical therapy needs Collaborate with educators and families to ensure integrated support Accurately document treatment sessions and progress notes Adapt interventions to accommodate various student abilities and needs Contribute to a positive, proactive school culture In this role, you'll have the chance to make a measurable difference for students during an engaging summer session, all while maintaining a balanced schedule and building meaningful connections in an educational setting.
