Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic summer opportunity as a Physical Therapist, supporting students in a school-based setting near Jersey City, NJ. This contract position runs from July 7 to August 10, offering a manageable and rewarding schedule—Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.—with Fridays off. You'll make a difference in students' lives while enjoying a balanced summer workweek, totaling just 8 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey Previous experience in school settings or pediatric populations preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse student needs Enthusiasm for working within a short-term, contract-based role
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group physical therapy sessions for students as outlined by their IEPs Assess, document, and track student progress Create engaging, goal-oriented treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall school strategy for inclusive education Adapt therapy approaches to suit varying levels of mobility and ability Embrace the balance of having Fridays free while still making meaningful contributions to students' success.
