Job Description

Are you a Physical Therapist who enjoys change and challenges in the therapeutic setting? Are you looking for more independence and autonomy in your job? If you answered yes to either question, then apply NOW! Atlantic Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for the dynamic Atlantic Visiting Nurse Dept to work 8am-4pm in Morris County. This position will require the therapist to provide therapy services to patients in their home, and require the therpaist to work two weekend days per month.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis. 2. Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise. 3. Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more. 4. Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintain proper documentation. 5. Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly. 6. Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment. 7. Works with other professionals in an effective manner 8. Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions. 9. Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients in their homes
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, required Master or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
Minimum Experience:
1 year of experience in homecare, strongly preferred
License/Certification:
NJ License in Physical Therapy BLS, preferred Valid and unrestricted Driver License with a clean driving record, required.
