Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Physical Therapist(PT) to join our educational team for a part-time Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric physical therapy(PT), with the ability to develop and implement individualized care plans that support students' physical development and functional independence. This Physical Therapy(PT) role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational and health outcomes within a collaborative school environment. The position is compensated and requires a commitment to providing comprehensive patient care tailored to the unique needs of children in an academic setting. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor personalized care plans that promote motor skills development, balance, coordination, and overall mobility. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure integrated support for students' physical needs. Provide direct therapy services during the ESY program, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, and functional independence. Document treatment progress accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations. Skills Strong understanding of pediatrics, including developmental milestones and common musculoskeletal conditions affecting children. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of acute care procedures, orthopedics, trigger point therapy, and geriatrics is advantageous for comprehensive patient management. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and families. Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse environments such as home & community care settings or outpatient clinics.
