Physical Therapist (PT) — School-Based (In-Person Preferred) 0.1 FTE The salary will be updated when the new salary schedule is approved by the Governing Council.

El Camino Real Academy (ECRA) — Albuquerque, NM Position Overview ECRA is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist (PT) to support students' physical access, mobility, positioning, and participation across the school day. The PT will provide direct and consultative services aligned to IEP goals and ensure services are documented and delivered with strong compliance. This role is ideal for a PT who is collaborative, student-centered, and skilled at creating realistic school-based plans that teachers and staff can implement consistently. Key Responsibilities Direct Services & School Access Provide PT services aligned to IEP goals supporting educational access and participation. Address mobility, balance, gait, endurance, gross motor access needs, positioning, and safety within the school environment. Recommend and support use of adaptive equipment and accessibility strategies as appropriate. IEP Support & Collaboration Participate in IEP meetings; contribute present levels, PT-related goals (as appropriate), service recommendations, and accommodations/supports. Train staff on safe mobility supports, positioning, and implementation of PT strategies during the school day. Collaborate with OT/SLP and special education staff to align student supports. Evaluation & Documentation Contribute to PT components of initial evaluations and reevaluations, including written documentation and recommendations. Maintain compliant documentation (service logs, progress monitoring, quarterly reporting). Required Qualifications Current New Mexico PED Physical Therapist (PreK-12) license (or eligibility to obtain). Current state PT licensure required for practice in New Mexico. Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Preferred Qualifications School-based PT experience Experience supporting students with significant physical needs in inclusive environments Strong collaboration and staff-training skills Work Environment & Physical Demands School-based setting with physical activity required to support student access and mobility. Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs occasionally, and assist with positioning/mobility supports as appropriate.
