Ideal candidates should bring:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state, with all necessary credentials up to date Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting, or a strong interest in pediatric therapy Strong communication and collaboration abilities to interact effectively with students, teachers, and families Capacity to assess students and develop individualized interventions Organizational skills and flexibility to manage a varied caseload Commitment to promoting positive student outcomes and participation in the educational setting Key responsibilities include: Conducting assessments to identify student needs and developing individualized treatment plans Implementing therapy sessions in group or one-on-one settings based on each student's specific requirements Collaborating with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student goals and provide recommendations for classroom modifications Documenting progress and maintaining thorough records in compliance with state and district requirements Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expertise to support students' educational growth and access Offering training or guidance for teachers and staff on positioning, mobility, and adaptive strategies In this role, you'll find a rewarding opportunity to empower students, foster independence, and support their academic journeys.
