Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team for a couple of months this summer. Permanent staff will be out on leave for 12-16 weeks and we are seeking a temporary Physical Therapist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy programs for patients with various conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of orthopedic treatments both operative and non-operative, geriatrics, and return to work focus to facilitate recovery. The Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with a PTA to ensure comprehensive care and effective discharge planning. Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise programs, and trigger point therapy. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience in outpatient settings is preferred. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to physical rehabilitation. Familiarity with discharge planning processes within clinical environments. Ability to perform assessments and develop appropriate treatment strategies for various patient populations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
