School Physical Therapist

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A physical therapist with experience in school and healthcare settings is needed for a contract position for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is based in Hamburg, NY, serving a school environment with a focus on supporting student physical therapy needs.

Responsibilities include:

Providing physical therapy evaluations and treatments tailored to student requirements. Collaborating with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Monitoring and documenting student progress while adhering to regulatory and school district guidelines. Assisting with mobility, strength, and functional skill development to enhance students' participation in school activities. Participating in team meetings and IEP (Individualized Education Program) planning as needed.

Qualifications:

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) eligible to practice in New York State. Experience working in schools and healthcare settings preferred. Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to maintain compliance with educational and healthcare regulations.

Location:

Contract role based in Hamburg, NY, with work primarily conducted within the school setting. Additional duties may occasionally require travel within the surrounding area, including Jamestown, NY.
